Tuesday, September 10: Oh dear, the tiredness and pain and lack of food of the past few days caught up with me and I had another sick day. It felt like I went back a few days in recovery and spent most of the day in bed in my PJs and forgot to take a photo! I made it so far! Ah well, on it goes.
Wednesday, September 11: A grumpy fish at Mt Vic Chippery represents my grump for forgetting to take a photo yesterday. (And being well enough to go back to work today.)
Wednesday, September 11: A second photo for today to make up for the missed one yesterday. It’s a grey day, but it doesn’t stop the spring flowers from blooming.
Thursday, September 12: Shark Awareness Week. This incredible wall of sharks was painted by the artists BMD. It features 190 sharks, the number of sharks killed every minute by humans. New Zealand has not yet banned the practice of shark finning.
Friday, September 13: Another shark finning protest. This one featured sharks in the lagoon.
Sunday, September 15: This is George. He’s my favourite cat in the whole world and another reason to fly home to Mum’s more often.
Monday, September 16: This is Cyrus. At the end of last year I held him as a teeny kitten. I didn’t recognise him at all!
